Do I need a customer account to order?

No. You design and order at folie.ch without registering; all you need for the order is a delivery address and a payment method.

Does the designer work on a mobile phone?

Yes, the designer runs in the browser on mobile, tablet and PC. For large designs such as vehicle lettering a bigger screen is more comfortable, but not necessary.

What can I add in the designer?

Text in various fonts, shapes, clipart, your own logo or photo, and a QR code. The live preview shows you instantly how it looks on the product. The designer guide gives you an overview.

Can I order a single piece?

Yes, everything is available from 1 piece – a single T-shirt, a stamp or a door sign. Only for stickers, vinyl lettering and wall decals is there a minimum order value of CHF 25 per basket line.

Can I order the same design on several products?

Yes. With «Move design to another product» you transfer your design true to scale to a shirt, sticker, sign, stamp or vehicle with one click. In the basket, «Your design also as …» suggests matching products.

Which file formats can I upload?

JPG, PNG and SVG. SVG is ideal for logos because it stays sharp at any size; PNG suits graphics with a transparent background.

My logo has a white background – what should I do?

Click «Remove background» in the designer. The AI cuts out the motif; then check the edges in the preview.

Is my file checked before printing?

Yes, we check every file before production. If we spot a problem, such as a blurry image or cut-off text, we get in touch with you before producing.

How large does my image need to be for a sharp print?

As a rule of thumb, around 150 dpi at final size: for a 30 cm wide design on the back of a shirt, that’s about 1800 pixels wide. Small images taken from websites or e-mail signatures are usually not enough.

Do all prices include VAT?

Yes, all prices are in CHF incl. 8.1 % VAT. There are no set-up costs. The full price list shows all products.

Is there a volume discount?

Yes. For textiles it applies per design (from 10 pieces −10 %, from 25 −15 %, from 50 −20 %); signs, stickers, vinyl, stamps and vehicles have their own tiers – up to −50 % on stickers from 500 pieces.

How can I pay?

By card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay via SumUp, or by QR bill in advance. Production starts once payment is received.

Do companies get an invoice with VAT?

Yes, companies receive a proper invoice with VAT shown separately (UID CHE-228.099.207 MWST). More under For businesses.

How long does delivery take?

We produce to order, usually within a few working days of receiving payment. Postal delivery time is added on top.

I need my order by a certain date – is that possible?

Send us your deadline before ordering at info@folie.ch or call us on 044 525 97 69. We’ll tell you honestly whether it works.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping by Swiss Post costs CHF 9.90 and is free from an order value of CHF 70. We only deliver within Switzerland. Details under shipping & payment.

Can I collect my order?

Yes, free of charge at our workshop in Wallisellen, Gewerbehallenstrasse 4. Please call ahead to let us know you’re coming; we’re open Monday to Friday, 08.00–16.00.

Which process is used to print shirts and hoodies?

DTF printing (direct-to-film) with a heat press. The process prints in full colour and photorealistic quality, including fine details and gradients, with a soft feel and no minimum quantity.

How much does a back print cost?

The front print is included in the price; the back costs +CHF 10.–. The designer shows other positions, such as the right chest on the zip hoodie, with their surcharge.

Which sizes and colours are available?

T-shirts, hoodies, zip hoodies and polo shirts come in XS to 4XL, caps in one size – each in white, black, navy and red. More under T-shirt printing.

How do I wash printed clothing properly?

Wash inside out at up to 40 °C, don’t iron directly on the print and avoid the tumble dryer where possible. That keeps the DTF print looking good for a long time.

Can I order signs and stickers in a custom size?

Yes, you enter the dimensions in millimetres and the price adjusts instantly. An Alu-Dibond sign, for example, goes up to 3000 × 1500 mm, a sticker up to 1200 × 1200 mm.

Which sign is suitable for outdoors?

For outdoor use, Alu-Dibond is the robust choice: 3 mm thick, weatherproof and printed directly. Forex is lighter and cheaper, but intended for indoors.

What is the difference between stickers and vinyl lettering?

A sticker is printed, laminated and cut to shape – in full colour, even with photos. Vinyl lettering is made of single-colour vinyl from which letters and logos are plotted, with no background.

Can my stamp include a logo?

Yes, a logo, address or text are all possible. A stamp prints in a single colour, so clear logos without gradients work best. More under custom stamps.

How much does vehicle lettering cost?

Logo and contact details on around 1 m² of cut vinyl cost approx. CHF 400.– incl. fitting and VAT. In the designer you see the guide price for your design while you design.

Which vehicles can I design online?

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Vito, Ford Transit Custom and Ranger, VW ID. Buzz Cargo and Caddy Cargo, and Škoda Octavia Combi. We letter all other vehicles from photos – see vehicle lettering.

Where is the vehicle lettering fitted?

In our workshop in Wallisellen. You bring the vehicle at the agreed time; depending on the scope, it is often ready within a day.

Can the vehicle vinyl be removed again?

Yes, the vinyl can be removed again and protects the paintwork underneath – handy for leased vehicles.

Can I return a printed product?

No. All products are made individually to your design, so exchanges and returns are excluded. The details are in our terms.

What do I do if something isn’t right?

Report any defect within 7 days with photos to info@folie.ch. We’ll take a look and find a solution.
