Vehicle lettering Zurich – designed by you, fitted in Wallisellen

Simple car lettering with logo and contact details comes to approx. CHF 400.– incl. fitting and VAT at folie.ch; every additional area increases the price proportionally. The guide price is based on the area you actually design.

These five factors determine the price:

• Lettered area: a name on the driver’s door needs far less vinyl than a side panel with a large image.
• Method: cut vinyl is cheaper per square metre than laminated digital print.
• Fitting effort: it grows with the area; swage lines, recessed handles and window seals take longer than smooth panels.
• Artwork preparation: a fixed base price covers checking and preparing your design for the plotter or printer.
• Number of vehicles: for several identically lettered vehicles, the price drops by 5 % (from 2), 10 % (from 5) or 15 % (from 10).

From first draft to finished vehicle there are six steps – and you can do the first three comfortably online.

1. Choose your vehicle and design all four sides in the vehicle designer: upload your logo, add text, phone number, website and colour panels.
2. Check the guide price: it appears instantly and includes vinyl, fitting and VAT.
3. Send a quote request: no obligation. We check your design and send you a binding quote.
4. Book an appointment for fitting in Wallisellen.
5. Bring your vehicle in: ideally washed and without freshly applied wax or sealant, as these weaken the adhesion of the vinyl.
6. Collection: depending on the scope, the lettering is often finished within a day.

Cut vinyl is ideal for single-colour lettering and logos; laminated digital print is the choice for anything with gradients, photos or many colours.

Many businesses combine both: the colour logo printed, name and contact details in cut vinyl. Both are produced in Wallisellen and fitted by us.

Good vehicle advertising answers three questions in three seconds: who are you, what do you do, how can people reach you? Nobody takes in more than that in traffic.

• Letter height: as a rule of thumb, allow around 3–4 cm of letter height per 10 m of reading distance. For the company name on the side panel, that usually means 15 cm or more.
• Contrast: white on dark blue or black on yellow is readable from a distance; grey on silver is not.
• Website or phone: make one of them large and leave out the postal address – hardly anyone reads it on the road.
• Don’t forget the rear: in traffic jams and at traffic lights, the back is the area people look at longest.

A magnetic car sign costs from CHF 29.– and is the simplest solution when a private car only occasionally doubles as a business vehicle: on in the morning, off in the evening. Magnetic sheeting only sticks to steel panels – not to aluminium or plastic parts – and needs a surface that is as flat as possible without deep swage lines. For vehicles that are permanently on the road for your company, applied lettering is more secure and looks more professional.
